What an extremely long name for such a short record! This title has been chosen in relation to this ironic question: "If we contrast repetitive loops with some structures undergoing a perpetual change, which equation seems the most redundant?" I would answer that a white noise, ultimately as repetitive and persistent as we perceive it to be, still forms one of the richest and most complex waveforms. Hum... let's skip this unnecessary text explanation...
Composed at the same time as its predecessor, these tracks could have appeared on the same album, but its atmospheric consonances induced a much more consistent mini EP format by itself. By the way, it was the last recording before I left Montpellier to move to Bordeaux, and up until today, it had only been exchanged on the web and on a few CD-Rs.
The method has evolved slightly with the addition of sound range based on a Stratocaster connected to an endless effects rack in Ableton Live. All coated with beats filtered by constant effect modulations. The unstructured and roulette-like rhythms are still prominent, but they are supported here by much more spacey layers of sound. Close to a Dark Ambient aesthetic, the whole thing provides a feeling of suspension in the air, and a post-dystopian vision of a world that has ended up frozen. Humanity is nothing more than a fossil buried under a deluge of ice, where a few minds still remain locked in cybernetic objects.
Kind of post-industrial auditory massage more than anything else, I always saw something icy and mineral there. #esotericdigital
